Australian Sailing Championship at Lane Cove over Easter

If you want some excitement this Easter then get yourself down to the Lane Cove Sailing Club. The Kitchen Maker is sponsoring the 82nd Australian Open 12ft Sailing Championship which will be run out of the club.

Visitors and spectators are welcome at the Clubhouse located at Longueville Wharf, Stuart Street, Longueville both before and after racing which will start at 2pm on Friday and Monday and 1:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Food and drinks and a program will be available from the club canteen.

A great vantage point to watch what is predicted to be hotly contested races is from Clarkes Point at Woolwich. Favourites are defending champions Sydney Sailmakers sailed by Nick Press and Andrew Hay representing Lane Cove Club, Geotherm Brett Hobson and Bill Lusty sailing for the Sydney Flying Squadron and Ghetto Sled Richard Billet and Ben Cross from Brisbane 18 Footers Sailing Club.

Your Move Conveyancing have sponsored the ferry Royale on Easter Monday for spectators to view the racing from the water. It will leave Longueville Wharf at 1:30pm. Tickets are free but you will need to pick them up from the club canteen before boarding, it is suggested you get there before 1pm.
