Growing Fleet of Firsts for Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo

A very impressive Fleet of Firsts is taking shape as even more world-leading marine brands and businesses step aboard this week with first releases at Australia’s first major boat show of 2017 – the Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo in March.

With just 7 weeks to go, Queensland biggest boat show has this week confirmed over 85% of exhibitor space is already sold or reserved across the event’s two marinas and massive display circuit.

“This year’s Boat Show from 17-19 March will absolutely be our biggest ever,” said Event & Marketing Manager Emma Brown.

“Visitors will be able to experience and enjoy our largest-ever on-water showcase of luxurious motor yachts and stylish sailing vessels, as well as a vast array of engines, accessories and equipment … and everything else in between.

Mrs Brown said the very strong support from the world’s and Australia’s major marine marques will ensure an incredible and engaging experience for boating enthusiasts right in the heart of Australia’s boating industry capital: the Gold Coast Marine Precinct in Waterway Drive, Coomera.

“This is an inspiring location to come and see all of 2017’s latest yachts, boats, engines, equipment and marine accessories for the first time in Australia … and all in one giant and convenient location,” she said.

“With over 600 boats for sale on water and on the land as well as engines, accessories and electronics, live entertainment and boating education every 15 minutes across a giant 3km display circuit, you’ll definitely need more than one day to experience and enjoy all that there is to see and do.”

Lagoon 42: The Multihull Group – Australian Premiere: The ultra-modern Lagoon 42 catamaran by Beneatteu is a new breed of cruising catamaran from this highly acclaimed European marque and it resembles a floating luxury French apartment. For sailors, fast cruising is assured with a square-topped wing shaped mainsail, positioned further aft with a large foretriangle offering a greater choice of downwind sails, along with a high aspect ratio rig. Fusion Entertainment – Australian Premieres: Fusion will display the new RV-FS402 Sound-Panel shallow-mount 200 Watt dual speaker system for the first time in Australia. Encapsulated in a single enclosure, Sound-Panel incorporates dual 4-inch speakers, tweeters and a passive radiator all tuned for premium sound delivery and is available in black or white grilles, as well as four mounting optional accessory brackets.
